Since its foundation in 2001, international literature festival berlin [ilb] takes place each year in autum. Bringing together more than 220 authors in 300 events, it presents the great diversity of contemporary poetry, prose, literary nonfiction, graphic novels, and children and youth literature from around the world. In roundtable discussions, art meets politics, collective readings engage with human rights issues, and the section Science and the Humanities explores the space in between knowledge and poetry. At ilb, renowned writers appear alongside international talents in a programme that is as diverse as political. The 20th ilb takes place from 9.-19. September 2020.
