NGC Bocas LitFest

The NGC Bocas Lit Fest is the premier annual literary festival in the Caribbean. Its title sponsor is the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago. Founded in 2010, it is celebrating its 10th festival in May 2020. Normally five days long, in this special year the festival will run from 1-3 May for three days and, for the first time, will host a busy programme of literary events throughout 2020 at The Writers Centre, its home in the capital city of Port of Spain. It is also creating a celebratory series of UK events in partnership with UK festivals and universities during 2020. The Bocas Lit is the NGO established to revitalize Caribbean literature and to advance writer and reader development in the entire region. Since 2011, through its festival, creative writing workshops and range of prizes, the Bocas Lit Fest has nurtured a new generation of Caribbean writers and aided in bringing them and more established writers to wider attention on the international literary stage.
